After School Art

Come with friends, have fun, create Artrageous art and walk out with a project that will make you proud!

Classes are from 4:15 to 5:45, so you might grab a snack before coming. For 1½ hours every-other-week, or every week, you can pursue your art craving, and be back in time for dinner.

Would You like to come EVERY Week? Just enroll in two sessions, the 1st and 3rd week and the 2nd and 4th week sessions. Each week will be different.

Each session focuses on a theme. For information on this session's theme, see the schedule. Each class will explore famous artists throughout history related to that theme and students will experience related art mediums and prosesses as well as cultural influences.

You get so many ideas to consider, and lots and lots of choices!! Learn what you’ve always wanted to know about art, how to draw or to paint that something you’ve always wanted, create sculptures, collages, montages!

Miss Julie’s teaching of unique and famous artists, their lives, their art and their meduim will take place in the form of inspiring time-tested books, games, activities, DVDs coupled with short interactive discussions.

Her teaching of art processes and techniques comes from many years of seeing art students work: She brakes it down into small easy , user friendly steps.

Her teaching of visual thinking and creative problem solving take place by enabling your student to apply or synthesize presented concepts, yet with your child’s own interpretation and creative expression. They will learn to look at art in depth and to think critically about it.

Classes are generally age appropriate, yet leave plenty of room to take the artistic challenge as far as they’d like!
